What we do

We organise fund raising events including Father Christmas's annual tour of Sydenham. We made the Crystal Palace Fireworks into the biggest November 5th event in London.

We use the proceeds to help our communities at home and abroad and sponsor young people to travel on Rotary scholarships. We built the Rotary Day Centre and this year sent special Rotary tents and supplies to the Tsunami disaster areas

Who we are

We are an assorted range of professional and business people working or living in the Forest Hill SE23 and Sydenham SE26 areas of London.

Membership of Rotary is an opportunity for fellowship worldwide and to enjoy helping the comunities of Forest Hill & Sydenham.

Where we do it

We have a weekly fellowship meeting every Tuesday lunchtime at 1pm. In September 2003 we moved from our original venue at Cobbs Corner to the Golden Lion, 116 Sydenham Road, London SE26.

We frequently have guest speakers from all walks of life to give us insights into to help others.

What next?

The club has been unable unable to recruit sufficient younger members and plans to close on June 30th after 69 years of service to the community.

We will continue, as individuals, to carry on the traditions of Rotary. We sponsored the Sydenham Town community website and this website will be continued for the benefit of Forest Hill.
