Graffiti on your wall, fly-tipping in the road, an
abandoned car parked in front of your home?
All everyday hazards in Forest Hill. And we all want
the council to get it sorted asap. Well Lewisham have introduced a fast
reporting system and a website so you can watch progress....
If you have a smart cameraphone - just click and send.
Lewisham have a neat little app you can download to your mobile to send a
photoshot of the problem in front of the people who are going to sort it. You
can add your own message as text and Lewisham will text you back when they have

And now Mayor Steve Bullock has chosen Fairlawn School
in Honor Oak Road to bring the message home to our kids. Steve got a graffiti
shirted Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen along on Monday 25 April to launch a
borough-wide primary schools art competition that encourages young people
to take up art and not graffiti.
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, said: I'm looking
forward to seeing the artwork; I know there's a lot of talent out there! It's
important that young people channel their artistic energies into the right
areas, and it will be exciting to see what they can come up with."
Laurence will choose the winning picture to be
unveiled in June. The winning picture will be turned into a giant scale version
and take pride and place on the side of a Council refuse vehicle so that
thousands of local people around the borough can admire it.
